About Gluten Zero
Gluten Zero was built in Melbourne for Australian families navigating coeliac disease — not as another generic AI app, but as a calm, evidence-aware companion for everyday food decisions.
Why we exist
A coeliac diagnosis changes everything overnight. Supermarket aisles become exams. Restaurant tables become stressful. Parents carry questions no one prepared them for. Gluten Zero exists because that experience is real — and the tools available were either too clinical, too vague, or not built for Australian labelling rules.
Our founder story
Gluten Zero began when an Australian parent needed the companion they wished existed on day one of diagnosis: something that explains why an ingredient matters, references FSANZ food standards, and never pretends to replace a gastroenterologist or accredited practising dietitian.
We are Australian owned, based in Melbourne, Victoria, and designed around how Coles, Woolworths, and local restaurants actually label and prepare food.
What we are — and what we are not
- We are a food guidance companion with Australian regulatory context.
- We are transparent about uncertainty and always ask you to verify packaging.
- We are not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for clinical care.
- We are not a product certification body.
Product development transparency
Our knowledge base draws from FSANZ Standards 1.1.1 and 1.2.7, Coeliac Australia guidance, and clinically reviewed ingredient intelligence. AI features operate within safety guardrails documented in our AI Transparency statement. Every major content update follows our Editorial Policy.
